People
Browse, filter, and favorite the people who match your vibe.
The People page is where you discover and connect with others on Gift.me. Tap People in the navigation to open it, then browse profiles, peek at wishlists, favorite the ones you love, and start a conversation.
Choose how you browse
Switch modes at the top of the rail to change who you see:
- For You — A personalized mix picked from who and what you tend to like.
- New — The freshest faces who just joined.
- Nearby — People close to you. Add your location in Settings to unlock this one.
- Active — People who've been online and engaging recently.
Filter to your type
Tap Filter to fine-tune the feed by:
- Distance and Location — search a city or stay close to home.
- Gender, Age, and Ethnicity — dial in exactly who you're hoping to meet.
Each filter also has an "only show people who display this" option, so you can choose to hide anyone who hasn't shared that detail with you.
What you can do with a profile
- Favorite — Add someone to your circle so they're easy to find and follow.
- Message — Slide into their Inbox and start the conversation.
- Open wishlist — See what they're hoping for and make your move with a gift that means it.

Flip on My Circle (the toggle) to filter People — and every other feed — down to the people you've favorited. Learn how My Circle works →
People tips
- Add your location and the details you're comfortable sharing — a more complete profile shows up for more people.
- Seeing "Nobody matches that vibe right now"? Widen your filters or distance, or turn off My Circle.
- Your filter, mode, and My Circle choices follow you across Home, Wishes, Explore, and People.
Nearby needs to know where you are. Add or update your location in Settings, and the Nearby mode will start surfacing people close to you.
